Social Impact
Why Social Impact Matters to Me
As the daughter of immigrants and a lifelong advocate for equity, I believe every young person—no matter where they’re born—deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. My commitment to educational equity is deeply personal. My mother, a Jamaican immigrant and lifelong educator, instilled in me a love for reading, a reverence for knowledge, and a deep understanding of education as a pathway to opportunity. I’ve seen firsthand how access to education can transform the trajectory of an individual, a family, and an entire community.
For over a decade, I’ve also dedicated my time to pro bono service—partnering with organizations like the Taproot Foundation to deliver skills-based consulting and strategic guidance to mission-driven nonprofits. Even while managing demanding roles in the private sector, I’ve found purpose in giving back. It has kept me grounded and reminded me that to whom much is given, much is expected.
That’s why I continue to use my voice, skills, and platform to help dismantle barriers and uplift the next generation—especially girls in under-resourced regions.
Driving Impact Beyond the Boardroom
📚 Advancing Educational Equity with Tanzania Development Support

At Red Hills Consulting Group, social impact isn’t a side note—it’s part of the mission. As a Board Member and Evaluation Committee Chair for Tanzania Development Support (TDS), I’m proud to help advance educational equity for girls in rural Tanzania.
Through strategy, storytelling, and impact, I work alongside incredible leaders to build sustainable programs that empower youth and strengthen communities. Below are highlights from my partnership with TDS, including blog features and leadership interviews. Additional reflections and updates will be shared over time.
Storytelling for Justice: Elevating Voices at Jalawelo
Client: Jalawelo

As a proud daughter of Jamaica, this engagement was deeply personal. I partnered with Jalawelo—a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting underserved communities across Jamaica. Working closely with founder Donna Gabbadon, PhD, the focus was on building a narrative approach that centers dignity, social justice, and faith.
The work was grounded in Jalawelo’s Imago Dei Circle Initiative, which promotes healing, empowerment, and leadership development through a social justice lens. The engagement reflects the core of Red Hills Consulting Group: bringing together strategy, storytelling, and operational clarity to amplify community voices and support sustainable impact.
Project Highlights
- AI-Driven Storytelling Framework: Developed a structured framework to support authentic, equity-centered narratives that highlight resilience and transformation.
- Editorial Calendar & Content Strategy: Created a detailed publishing plan aligned with organizational capacity, including support for a summer intern contributing to content development.
- Templates & Tools: Designed newsletter and social media templates, interview guides, and onboarding materials to enable consistent, high-quality storytelling.
- Capacity Building: Equipped internal team members with practical tools and AI-enhanced workflows to confidently lead content creation.
This engagement strengthened Jalawelo’s ability to tell its story with clarity, consistency, and purpose, while building the internal capacity needed to sustain that work over time. I remain connected to the organization and its leadership, continuing to support their mission through an ongoing relationship.
